I've always got a bunch of bands and musicians on my radar having heard them on the radio via one of the many great "Local Music Scene" shows we have here in Rochester. I knew of Jenna from Krypton 88, but saw her live for the first time at City Newspaper's 2nd Annual Best Busker Contest, where she was singing along as she played on her banjo and saw. Later in the year I catch up with Krypton 88 for the first time at WedgeStock.Org 2011

The Buddhahood and friends peforming Kaya at the 3rd Annaul January Thaw Concert for a crowd that comes ready to party and dance! This show usually features multiple bands, fat with guest musicians, as well as young musicians new to the scene. This is the band that got RocPic.Com focused on covering the local music scene, I hope to see you at Water Street Music Hall for the next really big show!

Scotty was a legend in his own time, he loved live music so much he built a place for bands to play Lightning Ridge Spiritual Center You could write a book about Scotty, who wrote a couple himself, hugely missed by many in and out of the music community. The Grateful Dead tribute band plays on as Run For The Roses
